The polls are closed, and we’ve already begun releasing voting results. Make sure to visit our Results Portal for regular updates on mail ballot and precinct ballot results.
Results will be posted using the following schedule:
8:05 p.m. – Vote by Mail Results
8:30 p.m. – Mail Ballot Precinct Results
9:00 p.m. – Universal Voting Center Results
9:30 p.m. – Precinct Results
After 9:30 p.m., precinct results will continue to be posted every half hour until all precincts are in.
Precinct status can be tracked on our Precinct Tracker, an online feature that dynamically updates as ballots reach each designated point. As depicted on our Elections Gallery, after the polls are closed ballots are transported from the precinct to the receiving station to the Tower Road dock. After the docks scan them in, the ballots go through an assembly line process until the point where the votes are finally logged and counted.

If you’re trying to keep tabs on a particular race, check out the Race Tracker. You can view the dynamic results for each individual contest as well as an overall election summary.

This year’s election result site was the worst one you have used! I guess all of the detail might be helpful to some folks, but if you just want to know who is winning, having the results split out in parts is not helpful. All of the blank entries for things like declined to state-Green Party take up space without helping. You ought to have at least one vote in a category before it shows. What would really help would be summary totals so that you could get the total votes for things like the 19th Assembly District without having to get the components and add them together.
Previous reports you have put on line also indicated which elections required a 2/3rds or 55 percent vote. That was missing this time and would have been very helpful as well.
Hi John,
You’ve brought up some great points! I’ve let our technical team know of your concerns to see if we can address them for the November Presidential General Results Portal.
Thanks again,
Kriselle
