The candidate filing period closes closed Aug. 8 for persons wishing to run for any of the 48 available seats up for election during the Nov. 4 Presidential General Election.
As of close of business on Aug. 7, 40 candidates have filed to run for the various school and special district seats. The Roster of Candidates can be found on ShapetheFuture.org where it can be viewed and printed in PDF format.
You may notice that some of the candidates listed on the Roster do not have a check mark next to his/her name. The check mark indicates that the candidate has qualified to be placed on the ballot. So how can other names be listed on the Roster, you ask?
The Roster is meant to be a working list. Potential candidates at various stages of the filing process are listed on the Roster with the filing status listed after the person’s respective contact information.
At the footer of the document is a legend, copied below in bold for your resource:
Legend: DCI=Declaration of Candidacy Issued; DCF=Declaration of Candidacy Filed; NOMI=Nomination Papers Issued; NOMF=Nomination Papers Filed.
